The logo

The logo of the project takes as its point of departure the Sun Chariot from Trundholm in Denmark from c. 1400 BC. This remarkable piece of bronze showing a noble horse and a gold covered disc on a six-wheeled wagon was manufactuted locally, but relates to a much wider cosmological and corporeal world of travelling. It shows how culture moved around effectively in Bronze Age Europe hence making it a suitable project brand. The Sun Chariot was retrieved in 1902 when a former bog was ploughed for the first time. It was in all likelihood offered as a gift to the gods or other creatures of the Otherworld at a special event.
