Excavation Experience:

  • Hummelure, Aarhus Amt (Jylland), Denmark; Aarhus University in cooperation with Moesgård Museum - Organisator and leader of the school-excavation bachelor prehistoric archaeology 3rd semester. Iron age settlement.
  • Borum Eshøj (Jylland), Denmark; Forging Identities Projekt in cooperation with Moesgård Museum - School excavation and research excavation at a bronze age burial mount.
  • “Magura Gorgana” in Pietrele, Rumania, DAI
  • A  Copper Age Settlement Mount on the lower Danube river in southern Rumania.  The Tell today has a height of seven meters and the excavated Trenches revealed several houses that were erected in consistent orientation. www.dainst.org
  • Hobro, Aalborg Amt, Nordjyllands Historiske Museum

    Rescue Excavation in regard to a building project. An Iron Age settlement with several houses that could be recognized mostly by stone settings and roof bearing post holes.
  • Agerhøj i Tarm, Ringkøbing Amt, Skjern-Egvad Museum

    Rescue Excavation of a pre-roman iron Age settlement with several wiking-age houses. During the excavation a 32m lon Trelleborg-house and several pit houses were found.
  • Tachti Perda, Republic of Georgia, DAI

    Leading assistant in a research excavation of the multilayered settlement Tachti Perda of the Bronze and Iron Age. In addition, the area around the settlement mount is being surveyed and recorded including several burial mounts. www.dainst.org
  • Ipf bei Bopfingen/Osterholz, Gewann Zaunäcker, Landesdenkmalamt Baden-Württemberg www.fürstensitze.de

    Survey excavation on the Iron Age (Hallstatt) Fürstensitz Ipf and research excavation on the settlement in Osterholz. Situated between the Ipf and the Goldberg are at least two fortificated courts so called “Rechteckhöfe”.
  • Schöningen, Ldkr. Helmstedt, Niedersachsen, Landesmuseum Niedersachsen

    Close to the 6qkm open-cast brown coal mine was it possible to excavate a hunting camp of the Palaolithic on over 3500qm. There were besides numerous flint tools eight excellently preserved wooden spears and other wood tools. www.denkmalpflege.niedersachsen.de
  • Monkodonja, Gem. Rovinj, Istria, Freie Universität Berlin

    A proto-urban, probably hierarchically structured, large and densely built mountain village of 300m length of the Bronze Age. www.geschkult.fu-berlin.de
